Dank der gestiegenen Materialpreise steigen auch die Preise für Miniaturen! ;(
Dear Iron Wind Metals Customer,
As you may or may not know, the price of pewter alloy has been rising dramatically over the last year. We have been fortunate, as we had placed a large blanket order before prices spiraled, and we have so far been able to pass that good fortune onto you by keeping our prices low. That blanket order, however, is now used up, and we have had to place a new one at a much higher price. The price of our alloy has basically doubled.
Needless to say, we cannot simply absorb this increase. We do not plan to try and maintain our normal profit margins on the increased metal, but we have to re-coupe some of it and make sure that we can cover the additional costs and remain a viable operation.
We are now discussing various options regarding our pricing. The fact that metal (the largest component of a miniatures cost to produce) has doubled does not mean that our prices will double. But there will be a significant increase.
We hope to finish our planning by early next week, and to implement the price increase on our website by Monday May 14th. Until we finalize and implement the increases, prices will remain the same, but we wanted to give you our customers a warning and to allow you the chance to get in orders before we are forced to do the increase.
Thank your in advance for your understanding on this issue.
Sincerely,
Michael T. Noe
