I've been quite surprised, and pleased, at the large proportion of HeavyMetal Map orders coming from Germany, so I just wanted to post a personal "danke!" I am a bit curious about why the proportion of HMMap orders from Germany is much higher than the other programs, and was wondering if anyone had a theory?
My thinking was that it might be more difficult, and more expensive, for those overseas to get the published map packs, so there might be more interest in making maps. Might that be it?
But whatever the reason, again, danke sehr!

Thanks!! This Program looks great and you can make customized Maps for some szenarios or something. I think thats the reason, and the price of the Mappacks in Germany!! ;(
Rick, When can we order HM Map at the Battleshop?
Greets Nils
He's right... First, there is the nice bonus for the exchange rate between Dollar and Euro. Then there is the horrendous price you pay for the MapPacks in Germany. I get the programm for far less than I'd pay for 2 MapPacks. Therefore, I bought a copy of the program and can't wait for it to arrive!!! :))
That all does not explain why HM+ or HMpro are sold in higher number than HMmap. But I havn't a better theorie.
The sales figures of HMmap in USA are not as well as in Germany?

No. A higher percentage of my HMMap sales have been from Germany than with the other programs. Of course, I am not selling HMMap as well as Plus or Pro, but sales are okay. But many of those sales are from Germany, more than I would have expected. And I think that is great, of course. Unfortunately, I do not yet have the Quickstart instructions and Readme auf deutsch, but I hope to have them soon, and will post them on my web site for download when I do.
Vielen dank!

As I understand somebody is already working on it, but if you need any help with that...

No one's willing to tackle a 93 page User's Guide, are they? ;-)

Willing yes, but you'd probably get it much later than you need it.

If I were allowed to publish it with the Newsletter, I would do it... But since FanPro Germany owns the license for CBT in Germany, it's their job to find someone to translate and publish it. I don't want to get involved with legal issues for publishing copyrighted material without the proper license... ;)

Well, the User's Guide I'm talking about is the HMMap User's Guide, which is copyrighted by me. So I doubt there are any legal issues to deal with.
I doubt anyone really wants to take the time to translate such a lenghy document, but if they did, I would include it with the program, to be automatically installed on German systems, and also make it available for download on my web site.
Send me a copy and I will see, what I can do!

Why don't you take a look at the preliminary version posted on my web site at:
http://www.heavymetalpro.com/files/HMMapUsersGuide.pdf
If you're still interested after looking, email me, and I'll get it to you somehow. It's a 19 MB Word document now. I /could/ strip out all the pictures, but then I'd need to know where to put them back in, but that would be a possibility.
